Jan 30 2012 - Passives [More Passives Articles]Now available form Mouser, the Vishay Dale low-profile, high-current IHLP Series inductor features a shielded construction with a frequency range up to 5Mhz to handles high transient current spikes without saturation.
The IHLP has the lowest DCR/µH in package sizes 6767, 5050, 4040, 2525, 2020, 1616, 1212 and 3232. Due to the composite construction, the inductor has ultra low buzz noise and is RoHS compliant to directive 2002/95/EC. Also available is the IHLP 6767GZ-51 Series that offers a high temperature rating up to 155C.
Also offered, the Vishay ‘IHLP Core Loss Calculator’ is a free tool that assists designers in selecting the proper IHLP inductor based on the operating conditions of their circuit, says the company.
Applications include PDAs, notebooks, desktop PCs, and servers – automotive applications – low-profile / high-current power supplies – DC-DC converters in distributed power systems – DC-DC converters for field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) – high-current POL converters – battery-powered devices with low height requirements (1.8mm to 3mm) and graphics cards.
