A new broadband inductor that offers low insertion loss up through 40GHz has been unveiled by AVX. Featuring a pyramid shape and rugged powdered iron core, the GL Series broadband inductor provides ‘excellent’ return loss and flat frequency response. It is ideal for high-speed data communication, optical receiver sub-assembly, transimpedance amplifiers and high-frequency test equipment manufacturers, says the company.

“The advanced GL Series broadband inductor was specifically designed to deliver repeatable and reliable ultra-broadband performance up thru 40GHz. The GL Series’ pyramid shape provides for the maximum inductance value in the space available,” said Larry Eisenberger, product manager, AVX.
