Power Partners – Low-profile 150W AC/DC power supplies comply with medical standards (PPWAM250)
Aug 30 2011 - Power [More Power Articles]The new PPWAM250 Series’ of 250W AC/DC power supplies, from Power Partners, are compliant to UL/cUL60601-1 and TUV 60601-1 medical safety standards. The units also bear the CE Mark and are RoHS compliant. The low-profile units are seen as ideal for a variety of patient vicinity medical and dental applications.
The PPWAM250 Series’ accept a 90-264VAC universal input. Single-output models have regulated voltages ranging from 12VDC to 48VDC with no minimum load. The compact, 3 x 5 x 1.38 inch footprint (open frame model) makes the PPWAM250 Series ideal for designs with space constraints. Units provide up to 250W of power with 17CFM of forced air.
The series offers high efficiencies greater than 85% and leakage currents as low as 300µA at 264VAC. Comprehensive protection circuitry includes over-voltage and short-circuit. EMC performance meets FCC and EN55011 Level B standards and units have an MTBF of 100,000 hours at full load, says the company.
