EM Research – New 250MHz phase-locked crystal oscillator offers low sub-harmonics (PLXO-250 crystal oscillator)

Dec 1 2010 - Passives [More Passives Articles]

The PLXO-250 phase-locked crystal oscillator, from EM Research, operates at 250MHz in a miniature connectorized package measuring 1.5 sq x 0.6 inches. Featuring low spurs (-70dBc), extremely-low harmonics (-50dBc) and sub-harmonics (-70dBc), the unit is locked to a 10MHz external reference (or optional internal reference), and exhibits exceptionally-low phase noise (-120dBc/Hz at 1KHz), +7dBm output power (MAX), while operating on a supply voltage of +12VDC.

The PLXO-250 is seen as ideal for use with A/D and D/A converters, GPS carrier recovery loops or as reference sources for Ka-Band and mm-Wave frequency converters, and various test equipment, says the company.
