Oct 30 2010 - Passives [More Passives Articles]Now available from Mouser stock – Nichicon’s FPCAP Series functional polymer capacitors are small aluminium solid electrolytic devices offering higher performance (low resistance), greater reliability, large capacitance, high ripple current capability, and a reduction of high frequency noise.
By using a functional polymer cathode, frequency and temperature characteristics are greatly improved. Available with radial leads or as SMDs, the devices are lead-free and comply with RoHS. Typical applications include switching power supplies, DC-DC converters, buck up power supplies of CPU (VRM, etc.), and miniature high-power supplies, says the company.
