Ecopac – ErP and Energy Star compliant switch-mode power supplies (Mean Well HRPG-200)

Latest from Ecopac Power is availability of the Mean Well HRPG-200 series the latest addition to its successful range of ErP and Energy Star compliant HRPG series switch-mode power supplies.

The new 200W AC/DC enclosed power supply, the HRPG-200, features high efficiency and low no-load power consumption. Offering high operating efficiency, miniaturization, and energy-saving features, the HRPG range offers units with rating from 75W to 600W.

The biggest improvements in the new HRPG-200, over the established SP-200 series are a 25% reduction in size and warranty extended from 3 years to 5 years.

The HRPG-200 is designed to fit 1U low-profile (38mm) installations and to operate up to 89% efficiency. The units can be cooled by free air convection from -30C to +40C ambient temperature under full load condition, and up to +70C by suitable derating.

With built-in active PFC function the HRPG-200 series fulfils the requirements of EN61000-3-2 for harmonic current, and to help reduce the damage caused by unstable AC mains input the power supply is designed with a 300VAC input surge immunity for 5 seconds. To allow the units to compensate for wiring voltage drops, the remote sense function is built-in to allow for up to 0.5V of voltage drop.

To comply with the requirement of Energy Star and ErP (Energy-related Products) the HRPG-200 series units are supplied with remote ON/OFF control and a 5V/0.3A standby output achieving no-load power consumption of less than 0.5W.

The HRPG-200 series is supplied with worldwide safety certificates, UL, CUL, TUV, CE, and CB. Protection functions include short-circuit, over-load (constant-current mode), over-voltage and over-temperature, says the company.
